- Disable vsftpd
service vsftpd stop
update-rc.d -f vsftpd remove
- Install software package
apt-get install proftpd-basic proftpd-mod-vroot
- Download configuration
wget http://c.vestacp.com/0.9.8/debian/proftpd.conf -O /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf
- Change vesta settings
sed -i "s/vsftpd/proftpd/" /usr/local/vesta/conf/vesta.conf
- Restart proftpd
service proftpd restart
